FateLens ("we", "our", "us") operates the website getfatelens.com — a personality and past-life discovery experience. We are an independent creator product.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following data when you use FateLens:

Quiz answers — your responses to the personality quiz (stored only in your browser's sessionStorage, never sent to our servers unless you request a reading).
Email address — if you choose to purchase a full reading or subscribe to updates.
Date of birth — only if you voluntarily enter it on the Life Path page, used solely to calculate your numerology number.
Payment information — processed entirely by our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy). We never see or store your card details.
Usage data — standard analytics such as pages visited and device type, collected via Vercel Analytics in anonymised form.

3. How we use your data

To deliver your purchased reading via email.
To generate your personalised past-life story using AI (Claude by Anthropic), processed on-demand and not stored beyond delivery.
To send occasional product updates if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To improve the product through aggregated, anonymised analytics.

4. AI-generated content

Your reading is generated by an AI language model (Anthropic Claude). The content is personalised entertainment and should not be taken as factual, medical, psychological, or spiritual advice. We do not store your full reading on our servers after it has been delivered to you.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

Lemon Squeezy — payment processing (Merchant of Record).
Resend — transactional email delivery.
Anthropic — AI reading generation (your quiz answers and identity are sent to their API).
Vercel — website hosting and analytics.

All providers are bound by their own privacy policies and applicable data protection law.

6. Cookies

We use only essential session cookies required for the website to function. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

7. Your rights

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us at hello@getfatelens.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Data retention

Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Quiz data is stored only in your browser and is cleared when you close the session. AI-generated content is not retained on our servers.

9. Children

FateLens is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Material changes will be noted with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
